Position Overview

This position will provide comprehensive engineering support to PhoenixEV Vehicle Integration Controls Manager and other site leadership team members. You will assist with control design, development, and validation for electric vehicle applications.  Primary responsibilities involve body systems that include lighting, driver interface, passenger interface, door systems, and ADA functionality.  Additionally, you will be involved  in hardware-in-the-loop development including automated test vector development and execution.

About the Role – You will:

  • Design, program and validate control systems for vehicle and body systems such as doors, HVAC, lighting, driver area controls.
  • Assist with system specifications, DFMEAs, and validation plans.
  • Work in cross functional teams throughout the design process to ensure optimal solutions for design, integration and control of systems.
  • Implement industry best practices for software design, validation and safety analysis.
  • Track work using feature and bug tracking software.
  • Utilize source control to track revisions of software.
  • Assist with simulation models for HIL and vehicle simulators.
  • Work with product validation group to ensure product is validated to meet system requirements.
  • Support field incident resolution for issues related to vehicle and charging station.
  • Maintain State-of-the-Art knowledge of related topics.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Your Experience Includes:

Position Overview

The Change and Configuration Engineer will be part of a team that executes the full configuration management process lifecycle, including Engineering Change Requests, Engineering Change Orders, part, drawing and document review, Configuration Management Boards, product structure and architecture, and baseline release. This is an important position that supports the overall Enterprise end to end for product changes and configuration.  The candidate must be well-rounded and have technical knowledge of how product life cycle management tools work at the tactical execution level with a view at the strategic level.  The position should have an understanding of how the enterprise system tools and components (PLM/PDM, ERP, rapid planning, work orders, production orders, etc.) work together and function and be able to support design life cycle change affecting Procurement, Materials, Finance, Manufacturing and Service.

About the Role – You will:

  • Review and assign Enterprise Change Request (ECRs) for action
  • Review and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Deviations, and reworks.
  • Manage and maintain production Bills of Material
  • Advise and establish best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products.
  • Facilitate reviews in Change Review Board and Change Configuration Board
  • Identify Process gaps and provide suggestions for continuously improving the change and configuration management process and advocating best practices
  • Analyzes engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the enterprise
  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates
  • Develops configuration management documentation based on enterprise and project requirements
  • Provide configuration management planning. Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
  • Define, manage, and maintain product structure/architecture and logic for configurable products (Configurator features and options).
  • Manage and maintain project/program requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in working directly with engineering change and/or configuration management processes or developing and managing product structure
  • Experience working with both R&D and production rate environment with short time to market of new products
  • Hands-on PLM/MRP/ERP systems experience. Arena experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product release life cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of product structure, requirements, parts and BOM structures
  • Experience working with stake-holders to develop and refine processes that support the enterprise change and configuration process

Position Overview

This position will provide comprehensive support to the PhoenixEV Engineering in Greenville, SC. You will be responsible for developing telemetry systems and supporting software for current and future heavy-duty electric vehicles.  This position requires a solid understanding of embedded Linux development, cellular networks, and python applications.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded Linux software to collect CAN data and deliver it to end-user via cellular networks
  • Manage data storage and develop applications for data retrieval/analysis
  • Maintain a fleet of telemetry devices to ensure high uptime and data availability
  • Lead development and maintenance of embedded hardware
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to define requirements and deliver data for analysis
  • Interface with various suppliers to integrate, validate, and maintain services
  • Work with product validation group to ensure product is validated to meet system requirements
  • Support field incident resolution for issues related to telemetry systems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering Required

About the Role – You will:

  • Manage all aspects of the Supply Chain and daily operations for all facilities.

Overview

  • Creating and managing purchase orders (pricing, quantities, supplier OTD, expedites, etc.)
  • Balancing goods receipts with demand requirements to ensure healthy cash flow
  • Sending out RFQ’s and negotiating with vendors, maintaining approved vendor list
  • Managing vendor relationships and a supply base (spend power, RTV’s, vendor consolidation, etc.)
  • Finding ways to mitigate price increases, meet cost savings goals, and analyzing spend
  • Managing safety stocks, lead times and all other MRP parameters related to managed commodities
  • Compiling data to create reports to support and interpret SCM related metrics
  • Working with a global team to manage order fulfillment from Italy and other international subsidiaries

As a Buyer Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining a production schedule, while considering capacity and material availability
  • Working with the Production team to ensure healthy WIP flow and strive for OTD improvements
  • Managing on-time production order releases, aged WIP and WIP counts per work center
  • Investigating and reconcile production order variances
  • Assisting in determining production priorities to achieve monthly revenue goals

Position Overview

You will be responsible to support warranty repairs, customer service acceptance process, retrofit campaign completions, technical diagnostics, customer interaction, engineering support on escalated service request, and general fleet support for all PhoenixEV electric transit buses and associated charging equipment assigned to your region.

  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and property staff daily.
  • Satisfy the job requirements and be able to perform the duties of a Field Technician.
  • Be the local subject matter expert in all vehicle and charger systems and subsystems.
  • Support acceptance process of new buses or charging stations.
  • Manage various vendors when working on customer equipment
  • Order parts, tools and supplies when needed.
  • Initiate RMAs with supplier or parts group.
  • Ensure proper submission of expense reports.
  • Train customer or service partners in the safe operation and best technical practices with PhoenixEV products.
  • Repair, maintain, troubleshoot and service electrical buses and chargers using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic mechanical tools.
  • Monitor subcontractors work to ensure quality and timeliness of completion.

  • Provide quality control where applicable.
  • Collaborate with engineering on complex failures and support team throughout root cause analysis process.
  • Perform software programming, capture CAN data during failure events, and interpret Telematic information.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience of directly related work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge about vehicle CAN systems and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred EV/HV experience.
  • ASE or other applicable certification.
  • Medium to expert user in MS office applications.
  • General knowledge of Transit buses/maintenance is a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Experience interacting and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Good driving record demonstrating ability to safely operate a company/customer vehicle.
  • Qualified individuals must maintain their own technician standard level of tools to perform duties.
  • Extensive working knowledge of automotive equipment and servicing methods.

  • Repair, maintain, troubleshoot and service electrical buses and chargers using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic mechanical tools.
  • Monitor subcontractors work to ensure quality and timeliness of completion.
  • Ensure proper and timely submission of expense reports.
  • Provide quality control where applicable.
  • Collaborate with engineering on complex failures and support team throughout root cause analysis process.
  • Perform software programming, capture CAN data during failure events, and interpret Telematic information.
  • Improve efficiency in service procedures without compromising quality and safety of the repair.
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
  • Handle advanced diagnostics troubleshooting of vehicle issue and perform repairs as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to providing excellent customer service as a representative of employer.
  • Responsible for documenting service department generated work orders.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience of directly related work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge about vehicle CAN systems and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred EV/HV experience.
  • ASE or other applicable certification.
  • Medium to expert user in MS office applications.
  • General knowledge of Transit buses/maintenance is a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Experience interacting and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Good driving record demonstrating ability to safely operate a company/customer vehicle.
  • Qualified individuals must maintain their own technician standard level of tools to perform duties.
  • Extensive working knowledge of automotive equipment and servicing methods.
  • Be proficient with using Microsoft Office, and ability to learn service generated software programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.

Position Overview

This position will provide comprehensive support to the PhoenixEV Engineering in Greenville, SC. You will be responsible for developing and validating drivetrain system controls for current and future heavy-duty electric vehicles.  This position requires a solid understanding of controls development with Matlab Simulink.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop control system requirement documentation through understanding of supplier specifications, regulatory requirements, customer specification and overall engineering expertise
  • Design and release software utilizing MATLAB/Simulink auto code generation tools.
  • Generate test and validation plans to confirm control system meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Analyze field and simulation data to improve controls system robustness and develop novel solutions to existing issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to ensure electrical and mechanical systems are properly integrated with control strategies.
  • Interface with various drivetrain component suppliers to maintain system level specifications, service support and validation
  • Create robust DFMEA and safety analysis documentation including recommendations of future functional safety/robustness improvements
  • Work with product validation group to ensure product is validated to meet system requirements
  • Support field incident resolution for issues related to controls and integration
  • Occasionally provide onsite support for delivered products and application-specific development
  • Setup and execute tests in the engineering lab using HIL, SIL, and component test setups
  • Experience in data acquisition methods, best practices and calibration tools such as Canalyzer, INCA, PiSnoop, ATI Vision, etc.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering Required
  • Advanced Engineering Degree a plus
  • Understanding of engineering design process best practices including proper documentation, requirements, reviews, DFMEA, and safety analysis (ISO 26262)
  • 4+ years of progressive controls engineering experience in the industrial, automotive or transportation industries. HEV or EV experience is a plus
  • Experience with transportation industry electrical architectures and controls system is a plus
  • Good understanding of control system hardware, I/O implementation and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of hybrid or EV drivetrain systems such as power electronics, traction motors, transmissions, J1939 and battery systems
  • Previous involvement with software configuration management systems such as Git
  • Extensive experience and every day application using MATLAB/Simulink, other languages a plus

Position Overview

The Sales Director: East Coast will take the lead in creating sales opportunities and delivering on
electric bus and charger sales and revenue objectives on the East Coast of the US. This position will
be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships and executing sales strategies
that will drive market share leadership and dramatic revenue ramp for the company with customers
in the public transit sector. This role will report to the Vice President of Sales and will collaborate with
other members of the commercial team who are located remotely.

About the Role – You Will:

• Understand the commitment required to join a small team of high-achieving sales professionals.
• Build and maintain knowledge of PhoenixEV’s expanding product line, competitor activities,
funding opportunities, public procurement methods, and general market intelligence.
• Bring a positive approach to communicating our bus and charger benefits and technology.
• Engage the right customers for PhoenixEV, qualify their willingness and ability to buy, manage
the sales process to a timely close, and maintain a strong pipeline of future business.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with key accounts to develop long-term relationships.
• Drive long and complex sales cycles, including significant involvement with RFPs/RFIs, with
prospective and existing customers.
• Maintain a web-based customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate and
complete information.
• Be willing to work remotely when not travelling. Expected to travel up to 75% of the time for sales
visits, product demonstrations, and trade association meetings at the national and state level.

• Must possess a winning track record of exceeding revenue, unit sales and market share
objectives.
• Attractive categories of experience would include public transit, commercial fleets, EV charging,
and/or heavy equipment. Previous experience with battery-electric, hybrid or CNG vehicles is
preferable but not mandatory.
• Experience with public transportation, education and/or government markets, not required but
preferred.
• Experience with federal funding programs as well as available regional and local incentives, not
required but preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experienced at planning, setting-up and working trade shows and conventions.

Location: Hybrid work schedule is a flexible arrangement that combines remote and in-office work
Travel: 50 – 75%
