Company to offer first public ride and drive opportunities since CARB approval at the BusCon Expo 2014 in Indianapolis, IN

(September 10, 2014) – Phoenix Cars LLC., a leading developer of electric vehicle technologies for the fleet vehicle market, announced today that its electric shuttle bus, named ZEUS 300 (Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle 300 series), has been granted California Air Resources Board (CARB) approval. To acquaint the market with the vehicle, Phoenix will be exhibiting at the 2014 BusCon Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, September 15-17, where it will offer the first ‘Ride and Drives’ of the electric shuttle bus since achieving this critical development milestone.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) approval is widely accepted as the most strenuous automotive emissions regulation profile in the United States, and completion of the process validates the vehicle’s ability to meet the emissions requirements of all U.S. vehicle markets. Phoenix intends for ZEUS 300 to be the standard bearer for robust design and regulatory compliance in the market.

The ZEUS is powered by a proprietary Phoenix Cars Electric Drive platform powered by a lithium-ion traction battery pack. The vehicle is capable of carrying 14-passengers and their cargo 100-miles on a single charge and can complete a full recharge in as little as 2-hours using DC fast charging.
